The Opportunity

With continued renewables interest and demand for power we have multiple opportunities for dynamic and forward-thinking Electrical Engineers to join our Network Connections and Network Capability teams. Roles within these two teams provide significant exposure to concepts and practices at the technical forefront of the High Voltage Electrical Engineering profession and the opportunity to provide a greener future for generations to come.  

You’ll directly contribute to the energy transition with the integration of renewable energy to the grid, designing and commissioning network equipment while simultaneously gaining technical exposure to leading-edge practices, world leading issues and the newest of technologies. 
 
In addition, you will: 
 

  • Undertake System capability analysis, operational planning and power system modelling 

  • Provide expert advice to Business Development on customer connections 

  • Manage connection technical assessments 

  • Negotiate Generator Performance Standards. 

  • Participate in the Centre of Excellence  

About You

You have a passion for the Energy sector and a desire to help shape the future of Energy Transformation in Australia. In addition, you will possess: 

  • Bachelor’s / Maters Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline 

  • Experience with PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory or other specialist analysis tools is essential 

  • Self-motivated with a strong desire and ability to acquire both technical and business knowledge/skills 

  • Sound knowledge of the Australian Energy Network, National Electricity Market and legislated industry requirements (National Electricity Rules & AEMO Guidelines)
