ElectraNet is expanding, and we’re on the lookout for innovative minds who thrive on solving complex problems and improving how things are done. The Engineering Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting the delivery of project engineering services by developing and maintaining technical processes and systems. These are newly created roles designed to support our Project Engineering teams by enhancing technical processes and systems that drive project success.

Success in this role is defined by a proactive approach to understanding team needs and uncovering areas for improvement. The Analyst applies programming, mathematical/statistical, and data analysis skills to design fit-for-purpose solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project engineering delivery by closing out Asbuilt documentation and ensuring compliance.
  • Drive efficiency by automating repetitive engineering tasks using tools like Power Automate and leveraging programming and data science techniques.
  • Apply data analysis and mathematical concepts to investigate team issues and improve response times, aligned with Responsible AI and Data Governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate proactively with team members to identify opportunities, deliver scalable solutions, and support compliance reporting.

About You

You’re a curious, analytical problem-solver with a strong foundation in programming and a passion for improving systems. You bring:

  • A passion for data-driven problem solving and a sharp eye for identifying inefficiencies in engineering workflows
  • Demonstrated programming skills (Python, C, or similar)
  • Experience applying data science principles to practical challenges
  • A proactive mindset with strong investigative and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows
  • Experience in project support or controls, ideally in a corporate or engineering environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement focus
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent

We understand the importance of work-life balance and are pleased to offer flexible working arrangements. We welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time employment (0.6 FTE or greater).
