The Opportunity

By providing agile and innovative engineering solutions we continue to be a key driver in South Australia’s Energy Transformation. Our diverse project base includes the augmentation and replacement of critical infrastructure and new renewable energy connections into the network and as our project base continues to grow, we are looking for an Experienced or Senior Lines Engineer to join our Primary Systems Engineering team. These roles focus on aspects of transmission line and cable systems as well as interfacing with other technical disciplines such as substation and telecommunication. You will have a detailed understanding of the technical requirements for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of transmission lines for optimal performance. Through the provision of specialist advice, you will be an integral team player and resource on projects, taking proactive steps to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

About You

  • Degree in Electrical or Civil/Structural Engineering or similar with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Line Engineering design, construction, operation and materials
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the transmission network, transmission asset processes, procedures and operations
  • Well-developed analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrable, advanced written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of high voltage networks, regulations and the National Electricity Market’s requirements for establishing new connections will be an advantage
  • Eligible for membership of Engineers Australia
