The Opportunity

This newly created role within the Treasury and Corporate Finance offers a unique opportunity to apply corporate finance principles to a regulated utility and help shape major investment decisions, influence capital structure strategy’, and contribute to projects that are powering South Australia’s clean energy transition.

Working closely with senior finance and regulatory leaders, you will undertake financial modelling and provide insights that guide business-critical decisions and support ElectraNet’s long-term strategy and growth while developing your career within a growing and dynamic energy business with industry-leading best practices in financial analysis and investment planning.

 

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead financial modelling and analysis for ElectraNet’s Regulated Business, assessing capital structure impacts and financial outcomes.
  • Support investment decisioning by providing scenario-based insights into major capital projects and business impacts.
  • Be exposed to and help shape strategic decision making by supporting the Treasury and Corporate finance team in Group financial modelling, capital allocation and business planning 
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders including Executives, Regulators, and external advisors to inform business-critical financial strategies.

About You

You’ll hold a tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics or a related field, with around 2+ years’ experience in a corporate finance or advisory role within a complex organisation or a professional services firm.

 

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Strong analytical skills and capabilities in financial modelling, forecasting,  and scenario analysis.
  • Understanding of corporate finance principles such as NPV, IRR and valuation.
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis, able to present insights clearly.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proactive mindset with flexibility and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
