The Opportunity
Step into a pivotal financial stewardship role within our Financial Accounting team, where your expertise will shape how ElectraNet applies accounting standards, strengthens financial control, and meets its statutory and regulatory reporting obligations.
Partnering closely with the Manager Financial Accounting, you’ll take ownership of core financial control activities, from trial balance integrity and reconciliations to month-end delivery, while playing a central role in preparing the annual statutory reporting.
You’ll be a trusted technical advisor, helping to guide the business by providing clear accounting guidance on contracts, commercial arrangements and business scenarios, and ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards.
Beyond delivery, you’ll drive continuous improvement—enhancing systems, refining reporting frameworks, and lifting governance and data integrity across Finance.

About You
We’re looking for a technically strong and commercially aware accounting professional, who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a keen attention to detail.
Strong technical expertise in financial accounting and up to date knowledge of accounting standards.
- Demonstrated experience supporting statutory reporting, audit processes and financial control frameworks.
- Proven experience applying accounting standards to contractual arrangements and business scenarios.
- Ability to prepare technical accounting papers, financial statements and board-level reporting.
- Confident communicator, able to translate technical accounting concepts into clear business insights.
- Advanced analytical capability, including strong Excel proficiency and data interpretation skills, and familiarity using SAP.
- Strong stakeholder engagement experience across finance and broader business teams.
- Highly organised, proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Qualified CA/CPA with a minimum of 7 years’ experience, including initial audit experience with a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm and subsequent financial accounting experience in regulated or complex environments.
