Our employees describe our culture as one that is supportive, inclusive, and community-oriented, where we genuinely want each other to succeed.

The Opportunity

As Maintenance Delivery Manager for Substations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of routine and corrective maintenance programs across ElectraNet’s network. This position focuses on managing short to mid-term defect notifications, mitigating risks, and optimising business value through effective planning, governance, and stakeholder engagement.

You will:

  • Oversee the delivery of maintenance programs, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes aligned with business standards, risk profiles, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Maintenance Planners, and Technical Delivery Managers to implement strategies that reduce outstanding defects and minimise network risk.
  • Manage emergency and critical defect responses, driving timely restoration of the network.
  • Optimise outage planning and integrate maintenance activities with capital programs.
  • Lead contractor performance management and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and governance standards.
  • Identify and implement productivity and efficiency improvements across maintenance programs.

This role would be ideal for a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage complex priorities in a dynamic environment.

About You

You’re not just a maintenance professional—you’re a strategic problem-solver who thrives on complexity and takes pride in delivering results that keep the network running at its best. You combine technical know-how with leadership and collaboration skills to make things happen.

Here’s what makes you stand out:

  • Proven expertise in managing maintenance programs within budget and schedule constraints, ideally in electricity infrastructure.
  • A sharp eye for risk—you understand asset and network risk and know how to mitigate it through smart planning and decisive action.
  • Contract management mastery, with experience driving contractor performance and achieving value-for-money outcomes.
  • Project management skills backed by a strong understanding of methodologies, tools, and principles that keep work on track.
  • Tech-savvy approach, with proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to interpret data for informed decision-making.
  • Minimum 10 plus years’ experience working in a Project Management, or Technical Delivery related role, with graduate or post graduate management or engineering or business-related qualifications.
  • White Card training is essential and possessing an Electrical Workers Licence is also highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving strength, paired with excellent communication skills to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • On the people front, you will work and collaborate with several key internal teams including Project Delivery teams, Asset Engineering and Maintenance Delivery teams, Asset Management teams, Network Operations teams, etc. You’ll also engage with external customers, suppliers, and maintenance service providers to ensure seamless delivery and strong partnerships.

If you’re someone who can balance technical precision with big-picture thinking—and you love the challenge of optimising performance in a dynamic environment—we’d love to hear from you!
