The Opportunity

We’re looking for a visionary Data and Insights Leader who’s ready to shape the future of enterprise data at ElectraNet. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal role where your expertise will help drive smarter decisions, safer operations, and a more sustainable future.

You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team across data integration, engineering, analytics, information management, and records. You’ll architect scalable solutions, champion Responsible AI, and work across the business to unlock the full potential of our data.

What You’ll Be Driving:

  • A unified enterprise data and AI strategy aligned with our tech roadmap.
  • Scalable, secure data platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Power BI, and more).
  • Advanced analytics, forecasting, and optimisation across planning, operations, and asset management.
  • Responsible AI practices that ensure fairness, safety, and transparency.
  • A centre of excellence for analytics and AI, complete with reusable components and certified data products.

About You

You’re not just a data and insights leader - you’re a curious mind, a strategic thinker, and a tech-savvy storyteller who knows how to turn numbers into narratives and platforms into possibilities.

Here’s what makes you shine:

  • That you’ve spent 10 years or more mastering the art of data architecture, governance, and cloud delivery, and you’re ready to take it to the next level.
  • You’ve led teams through data integration, engineering, analytics, and data science, and you know your way around lakehouses and semantic models like a pro.
  • Experience building and managing data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.
  • You’ve delivered AI and ML solutions that don’t just work—they’re monitored, explainable, and responsibly governed.
  • You speak both “tech” and “business,” translating complex ideas into clear, actionable insights.
  • You’re a champion of data governance, quality, and stewardship, and you know how to build frameworks that last.
  • You thrive in agile environments, embrace DevOps and DataOps, and love solving problems with creativity and precision.
  • You build inclusive, high-performing teams and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • You’re comfortable navigating regulatory landscapes, engaging stakeholders, and making data decisions that are safe, smart, and scalable.
  • And yes - if you’ve worked in any industrial sectors with exposure and understanding of SCADA, GIS, or geospatial analytics, you’ll feel right at home in this role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or related fields.
  • Certifications in data architecture, cloud platforms, AI/ML, and Responsible AI are highly regarded.
