The Opportunity
As a Network Switching Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe planning and execution of transmission outages and switching programs. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop accurate and timely switching documentation.
In the role you will:
- Prepare and check system switching requests (SSRs), coordinate the development of system switching programs (SSPs), and provide technical advice on transmission network access.
- Contribute to the coordination of outages and ensure accurate information is maintained in ElectraNet and AEMO outage schedules.
- Maintain data and complete regular reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and project managers.
About You
The successful applicant will be/have:
- Proven experience in HV switching, electrical power system equipment, and electrical switching procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
