The Opportunity
We are currently looking for experienced procurement professionals to join our team as Procurement and Contracts Manager within the Delivery division. In this role you will be responsible for the end-to-end contract management that includes subcontractor contracts, transmission connection agreements and plant procurement contracts, requiring the development and delivery of commercial/procurement artefacts principally for ElectraNet’s regulated and contestable works portfolios.
You will also provide strategic advice to internal stakeholders, establish end-to-end supply arrangements, manage commercial contract administration requirements and maintain corporate procurement policies, strategies and practices that deliver value for money.
About You
Here's what we're looking for in our next team member:
- Experienced procurement professionals with 5 to 8 years of robust procurement and contracts management experience within a CAPEX portfolio.
- Relevant industry experience within energy, utilities, construction and infrastructure will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity in operating within a complex procurement and commercial contracting and/or construction environment, applying advance and innovate commercial, contract management and procurement practices.
- Possess understanding of project management methodologies and in dealing with the relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally on various projects.
- Extensive analytical, research skills, investigation and report writing skills.
- Demonstrated positive, flexible, and adaptable attitude with a willingness to take on a wide range of diverse tasks and adjust to competing and shifting priorities in a changing environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Possess positive attributes to be able to adapt and work together with the team in a harmonious work culture and environment.
- Detailed knowledge of negotiation and resolution of contract issues.
- Understanding of relevant legislated rules and codes governing the business and industry such as AEMC, NER, SA Electricity Transmission Code, ESCOSA Wind Farm Licensing Requirements etc, would be highly desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications in any relevant discipline are essential and being Member Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) qualified is desirable.
