The Opportunity
ElectraNet’s Contracted Development team is at the forefront of enabling South Australia’s energy transition, developing and delivering customer-funded transmission and infrastructure projects that connect, power and support the state’s future energy needs. As our contracted project portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking talented project professionals across multiple levels, from Associate Project Managers through to experienced Project Managers.
Working within a highly collaborative and commercially focused environment, you will play a key role in progressing projects from pre feasibility through to contract execution. These are unique opportunities to work across a diverse range of customer-funded infrastructure projects, collaborating with customers, contractors, regulators, government agencies and internal technical specialists to achieve successful outcomes. While projects originate through established business development channels, your ability to build trusted relationships, understand customer requirements and influence project outcomes will be critical to success.
Based in Adelaide, these full-time roles will also cover the following key responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate project development activities from concept through to contract execution
- Lead project planning, governance, risk, cost and schedule management activities
- Prepare and present project approvals, gate reviews and commercial recommendations
- Develop and manage customer-facing documentation including proposals, presentations and offer packages
- Build strong relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, government bodies and internal stakeholders
- Facilitate connection applications, approvals and project development requirements
- Contribute to or lead contract negotiations, variations and commercial discussions
- Identify, assess and mitigate project, commercial and delivery risks
- Monitor project performance across safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives
- Coordinate procurement activities and supplier engagement to support project outcomes
- Ensure compliance with governance, environmental, cultural heritage and regulatory requirements
- Support or lead the transition of projects into delivery and successful asset handover
- Travel to project sites to monitor progress, undertake stakeholder engagement and support project governance requirements
- Contribute to the growth of ElectraNet’s Build, Own, Operate and Maintain (BOOM) and broader contracted project opportunities
About You
You are a motivated project professional who enjoys bringing people together to solve complex problems and deliver meaningful infrastructure outcomes. Whether you are early in your project management career or an experienced practitioner, you have a strong customer focus, commercial awareness and the ability to build productive relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. You thrive in environments that require collaboration, sound judgement and effective coordination to achieve successful project outcomes.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Project Management or a related discipline
- Experience in project coordination, project management or project development within infrastructure, utilities, energy, construction, engineering or related sectors
- Knowledge or project management methodologies including PMBOK, WBS, critical path scheduling and project controls
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality outcomes
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience identifying and managing project risks and commercial considerations
- Sound understanding of contract administration, procurement and project governance principles
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Commitment to health, safety, environmental and quality standards
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- For senior-level opportunities, demonstrated experience managing complex projects, commercial negotiations and customer relationships
- Experience within the energy, electrical infrastructure or transmission sector will be highly regarded
- A current driver’s licence or ability to obtain one

For the Associate Project Manager level, we are proud to offer a starting base salary of $146,000pa plus 12% superannuation and bonus eligibility of up to 15%. For the Project Manager level, we are proud to offer a starting base salary of $160,900pa plus 12% superannuation and bonus eligibility of up to 15%.
