The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the centre of delivering projects that are critical to South Australia’s electricity transmission network and the clean energy transition.

 

As a Project Manager in the Regulated Portfolio team, you’ll lead the delivery of multiple high value, long term regulated projects, working across the full project lifecycle from concept through to commissioning and handover. These projects are complex, highly visible and essential to maintaining a safe, reliable and resilient power system for the state.

 

You’ll operate with a high level of autonomy while being supported by experienced leaders and technical specialists, giving you the scope to truly own your projects and influence outcomes. 

 

In this role you will:

  • Drive robust project planning and control, establishing and actively managing schedules, budgets, resources and governance frameworks.
  • Anticipate, identify and proactively manage project and business risks to protect safety, performance and delivery outcomes.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered in full compliance with health, safety, environmental, cultural heritage, legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to contract management activities, including managing variations, claims and stakeholder communications.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with internal teams, regulators and external industry partners to influence outcomes and enable successful delivery.
  • Champion ElectraNet’s safety‑first culture, values and standards across all stages of the project lifecycle.


Success in this role comes from strong leadership, sound judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships with internal teams, contractors, regulators and industry partners.

About You

Here’s what we’re looking for in our next Project Manager:

 

  • Approximately 5 to 7 years of relevant project management experience in Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects across the full project lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and controls (e.g. PMBOK, WBS, critical path, EVM).
  • A detailed understanding of health, safety, environment, development approval, land procurement, cultural heritage and sustainability considerations.
  • Proven experience managing project risk and contributing to contract management activities.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business or any related discipline/ field of study.
  • Experience within energy, utilities, infrastructure or regulated environments will be highly regarded.
