The Opportunity
With continued renewables interest and demand for power we have opportunities for dynamic and forward-thinking Experienced and Senior Electrical Power System Engineers to join our Network division. Roles within this division provide significant exposure to concepts and practices at the technical forefront of the High Voltage Electrical Engineering profession and the opportunity to provide a greener future for generations to come.
Power System Engineers play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our network. Combining technical expertise with innovative thinking, they oversee power system planning and optimise network performance. Their ability to transform complex challenges into practical solutions is essential for delivering a resilient and customer-centric power grid. We are looking for talented individuals in permanent, full-time positions based out of Adelaide, South Australia.
- Planning and performance of the transmission network
- Customer connection evaluations and generator performance standards
- Long-term scenario planning and market modelling
- System capability and security analysis
- Development and maintenance of power system models
Senior Engineers will also lead technical decision-making, mentor team members, and influence strategic outcomes across the business.
About You
For Experienced Engineers:
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a discipline-related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in tools like PSS/E, PSCAD, Power Factory, PLEXOS, Mudpack, and Matlab
- A collaborative mindset and ability to build stakeholder relationships
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or higher and eligibility for Engineers Australia membership
For Senior Engineers:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience with demonstrated leadership capability
- Expertise in coordinating and developing technical deliverables
- Strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement skills
- Chartered status with Engineers Australia (desirable)
Both roles require a deep understanding of legislated industry requirements (e.g., National Electricity Rules, ESCOSA, AEMO Guidelines).
