The Opportunity

We are seeking an experience Lead Project Controller to play a pivotal role in strengthening project controls capability across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. Working closely with the Manager Controls, you will act as a senior subject matter expert, providing both strategic insight and hands-on delivery across project planning, cost control, and performance reporting. 

This is a highly visible role requiring strong on-site presence and engagement with stakeholders across the business. You will lead capability uplift initiatives, mentor a large team, and drive improvements in processes, governance, and reporting standards to enhance overall project performance. 

Based in Adelaide, this full-time role will also cover the following key responsibilities:

  • Lead project control activities across the delivery portfolio 
  • Develop, maintain, and analyse project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
  • Provide detailed variance analysis and performance reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement of project controls processes and frameworks
  • Mentor and develop a team of project controls professionals
  • Partner with project managers and stakeholders to support successful delivery
  • Support the Manager Controls as a key 2IC, including succession and team leadership responsibilities

About You

You are a highly experienced Project Controls professional who combines deep technical capability with strong leadership presence. You are comfortable operating across both strategy and delivery, and thrive in environments where you can influence, mentor, and drive meaningful improvement. 

To be successful, you will bring:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Project Controls within complex project environments
  • Strong expertise in scheduling, costing, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of PMBOK principles and project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing multiple team members
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence at senior levels
  • A collaborative, hands-on approach with a commitment to team support
